A real adrenaline rush after the summer break. FX Racing Weekend rekindled its engines at the Mugello Circuit in a very successful weekend, characterized by the presence of 14 categories at the start for a total of over 200 drivers at the starting line. But beyond the “simple” numbers, what made the event on the Tuscan circuit unique were the numerous challenges staged over the weekend, with the most prestigious championships of the Italian series flanked by the presence of guest categories of great importance at the continental level.
The third seasonal round of the Italian series which enjoys the official SRO Motorsports Group license recorded a peremptory double success for Pierluigi Veronesi, engaged on board the Porsche 997 of Autorlando Sport. The driver from Emilia, making his seasonal debut in the category, beat the Swiss Niki Leutwiler (Centro Porsche Ticino) in both heats, after Manuel Lasagni’s Mercedes AMG GT4 had obtained pole position in both qualifying sessions. The latter, after being eliminated by a contact with Tommaso Lovati at the end of race 1, had the satisfaction of climbing on the third step of the podium in the second heat, after Dario Cerati in the Porsche 718 Cayman in the previous one to achieve this position. At the halfway point of the championship, Tommaso Lovati (Lema Racing) maintains his leadership in the championship, in a situation that still sees several contenders capable of aspiring to the top of the standings.
